Well I managed to complete my Vista Upgrade. I have my last 2 printers and Carbonite(my backup software) reinstalled.

As a result of this exercise I will be working on a guide to how to do  a Vista Upgrade . This should be  out within the next week.

Sometime today I will also be updating my pdf for which software I use. It will be available soon for download.

Well I bit the bullet last night/today and decided to upgrade my main home pc to Windows Vista. I have almost complted the upgrade with a couple of exceptions:

1. I still need to finish installing drivers for my printers. Both my all in one and my photo printer require me to download software from the net.

2. I need to reinstall carbonite my backup software.

I was very lucky. Most of my applications are alreay Vista compatible at home so this made life easy.

One change I have made at home is I am planning on running the built in firewall for Vista. Their are 2 reasons. One the firewall is bi-directional where the firewall built into Windows Xp was not and secondly when I install Zonealarm with vista my web browsing really slows down.

All in all this has been a success.
