Why Would CBS Buy Cnet

Last week it was announced that CBS was purchasing CNET. To those outside of the techie world this does not mean a lot. To those close to the industry it can be seen why this was the prefect purchase.

Cnet need a cash infusion to expand it’s multimedia Technology Empire. CBS is a copy that has deep pockets so money will no longer be an issue.

CBS needs a way to increase it’s multimedia holding and provide better streaming for it’s core programing. In purchasing Cnet they have obtained exactly what they need. Cnet is more then strong in the Multimedia area.

As you can see a marriage made in heaven.

I have been running it all week on my home desktop, gf’s laptop and my work laptop and I have had no major issues.

Issues with Windows XP SP3

OpenDNS

For a long time I have been using a DNS server called opendns. How it works is you replace your DNS entries on your pc or router. This service works great. It has automatic spelling completion amongst other things.
